Research trip of Alicja Szumowiecka, M.Sc.

Cieszyn

A doctoral student of the Siedlce University Doctoral School – Alicja Szumowiecka – carried out a research trip to Cieszyn in the last week of October. During the trip, she conducted archival and library research in the local institutions: the Cieszyn branch of the State Archiv in Katowice, Książnica Cieszyńska (Cieszyn Library) and Museum of Cieszyn Silesia. In the time of the research trip, she visited the rich exhibition of the oldest museum in Central Europe.

The peer-reviewed scientific journal Journal of Ecological Engineering has published a scientific article in the international collaboration co-authored by Karol Remiszewski, M.Sc., a doctoral student at the Siedlce University Doctoral School, in the discipline of agriculture and horticulture. The studies assessed the effect of L-glycine on growth parameters and on the content of selected nutrients in the butterhead lettuce grown in an unheated green-house in the spring.
