Adam Matyszczak, M.Sc., a doctoral student at the Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities in the discipline of agriculture and horticulture and a chief specialist of the Mazovian Agricultural Advisory Centre, organised and moderated a conference entitled "Internet Platform for Advising and Decision Support in Integrated Plant Protection eDWIN as a tool for digitisation of agricultural holdings" on 20 May in Piaseczno and delivered a paper entitled "A farmer's handy adviser. Practical use of the eDWIN platform and the Virtual Farm".
Another scientific article co-authored by a doctoral student of the Siedlce University Doctoral School, Łukasz Domański, M.Sc. was published in a renowned journal from the list of the Ministry of Education and Science - Agronomy Science, which was assigned a score of 70 points.
The paper presents the results of a study whose research material were potato tubers collected from a three-year field experiment established in triplicate using the split-plot method. The first factor consisted of two edible cultivars 'Malaga' and 'Oberon'. The second factor consisted of five methods of herbicide and biostimulant application. In the fresh tuber mass the content of total sugars, reducing sugars and sucrose was determined using the Schoorl-Luff method.
