Historical workshops as part of the Siedlce University Open Days (March 24, 2022)

On March 24, 2022, as part of the Siedlce University Open Days, doctoral students of the Siedlce University Doctoral School in the discipline of history (Rafał Borychowski, MA, Anna Kłoś, MA, Anita Smyk, MA, Barbara Tekely-Skrętowicz, MA) presented the educational offer of the Institute of History. The genealogical workshops led by Marta Czerwieniec-Ivasyk (How to find out the history of your family?) enjoyed particular interest to the participants.

Katarzyna Kępka, M.Sc., on a research internship at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin

Katarzyna Kępka, M.Sc., a doctoral student at the Siedlce University Doctoral School in the discipline of animal science and fisheries, was on a research internship at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin at the Institute of Biological Basis of Animal Production in the period 31.01-28.02.2022.

 
The aim of the research internship was to broaden the doctoral student's knowledge in the field of molecular genetics and to learn about laboratory techniques not used in the home institution, such as: PCR, sequential PCR and electrophoresis.
 

Polish-Kazakh Doctoral Seminar

On 28 February 2022, a Polish-Kazakh doctoral seminar was held at the Faculty of Humanities of the Siedlce University on the initiative of the Institute of History and the Siedlce University Doctoral School. Three visiting doctoral students from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty presented the concepts of their dissertations, which became the basis for a lively discussion with the Siedlce University doctoral students.
