In the "Agricultural News", monthly published journal by Podlaski Agricultural Advisory Centre in Szepietowo, appeared another popular science article by Łukasz Domański, M.Sc. entitled "Modern agriculture - convenience, precision, profit, ecology".

Agriculture is changing all the time. Along with the development of science we can observe a thriving development of agriculture. Newer and newer technologies allow farmers to perform their work more precisely, more effectively and much more easily. Specialized devices and modern software in a very precise way control all data in farms focused on both plant and animal production - starting from simple numerical data, through monitoring meteorological conditions to very precise geographical coordinates. All of this allows for remote control of agricultural machinery in plant production, based on active maps of their own fields, which contain precise areas and types of crops, grain moisture, precisely predicted yields, hints and tips concerning harvest time, taking into account the meteorological conditions predicted for the future. In animal production, modern technologies allow remote creation of compound feeds, their delivery and dosage to animals, monitoring of equipment status and almost all data on animal production.
