From June 28 to July 3, 2026, Patryk Wójcik, MSc, a doctoral student at the Doctoral School of the Siedlce University in the discipline of chemical sciences, together with his supervisor, Dr. Anna Kamecka, a professor at the University, participated in the 46th International Conference on Coordination Chemistry held in Odense, Denmark.
The International Conference on Coordination Chemistry (ICCC) is one of the longest-standing and most prestigious conferences in the field of coordination chemistry. It happens just once every two years, and this year’s edition took place in the heart of Denmark – Odense – a fairytale city connected with Hans Christian Andersen.
The event was attended by 1,216 scientists from 49 countries, including Denmark, Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Poland, India, China, Australia, South Africa, and Brazil.
During the conference, Patryk Wójcik, MSc, presented a scientific poster titled “Bis-cyclometalated Rhodium(III) and Iridium(III) Complexes with the Evaluation of Their Photophysical Properties”, in which he compared the spectroscopic and photophysical properties of analogous cyclometalated rhodium(III) and iridium(III) coordination compounds.
The conference was an opportunity to exchange experiences and participate in discussions with leading experts in the field of coordination chemistry. Participation in the conference was also an opportunity to become part of the global coordination chemistry community and to make new scientific contacts.
