From June 18 to 20, 2024, Łukasz Domański, M.Sc., a doctoral student at the Doctoral School of the University of Siedlce, in the discipline of agriculture and horticulture, took a scientific and research trip to the University of Life Sciences in Wroclaw.
The topic of the trip was the determination of the content of chemical compounds by spectrophotometric method, in tubers of colored potato varieties. Thanks to the kindness of the trip supervisor, Prof. Dr. Alicja Kucharska (UPwR), the doctoral student was able to prepare sample extracts on his own, which came from the field experiment of M.Sc. LŁukasz Domanski. The doctoral student was acquainted with the detailed methodology for performing determinations of anthocyanins, chlogorenic acids and others. The laboratory work took place in the modern laboratory of the Department of Technology of Fruits, Vegetables and Plant Nutraceuticals, at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences, Wrocław University of Life Sciences. The obtained research results will be a valuable part of the doctoral student's dissertation.
