The scientific journal Plant, Soil and Environment has published an article co-authored by Lukasz Domanski, M.Sc., a doctoral student at the Doctoral School of the Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities
The article presents the results of a study to determine the content of total polyphenols (TP) in edible potato tubers obtained in a three-year field experiment established in a split-plot arrangement with three replicates. The first experimental factor included two potato varieties: Oberon and Malaga, and the second was the application of the following biostimulants: PlonoStart, Aminoplant, Agro-Sorb Folium and the herbicide Avatar 293 ZC (chlomazone + metribuzin). The polyphenol content of potato tubers was determined in fresh weight of tubers by spectrophotometric method using Folin-Ciocalteu reagent. The content of polyphenols in tubers was influenced by varieties and test biostimulants.
