On January 28, 2026, during a meeting of the Senate of the University of Siedlce, awards were presented for the second edition of the competition for the best doctoral students of the Doctoral School of the University of Siedlce.

The main objective of the competition is to reward the most active doctoral students of the School in terms of scientific and organizational activities.
Established by Decision No. 33/2024 of the Director of the Doctoral School of the University of Siedlce on October 4, 2024. The team responsible for awards for the best doctoral students of the Doctoral School of the University of Siedlce, composed of:

1) Dr. Paweł Szmitkowski, professor at the university – chair;
2) Prof. Artur Goławski, PhD;
3) Grzegorz Pietrek, PhD, professor at the university;
4) Rafał Toczko, MSc, PhD student in the field of agriculture and horticulture;
5) Patryk Wójcik, M.Sc. Eng. – doctoral student in the discipline of chemical sciences,

on January 21, 2026, reviewed the applications for awards for the best doctoral students of the Doctoral School.

In the scientific category within the fields of agricultural sciences, exact and natural sciences, medical sciences, and health sciences, applications were submitted by two doctoral students (one in the discipline of biological sciences, 1 - animal husbandry and fisheries), in the fields of social sciences and humanities, applications were submitted by 2 doctoral students (2 - security sciences).
In the organizational category, applications were submitted by 2 doctoral students (1 - biological sciences, 1 - security sciences).

 

The winners of the competition are:


· in the scientific category in the fields of agricultural sciences, exact and natural sciences, medical sciences, and health sciences

Kalina Wnorowska, M.Sc. – zootechnics and fisheries.

· in the scientific category in the fields of social sciences and humanities

Mateusz Janczuk, M.Sc. – security sciences.

· in the organizational category

Mariusz Matacz, M.Sc.
