The journal NeoBiota (vol. 104, 2025), specializing in the biology and ecology of invasive organisms, and the journal Wiadomości Botaniczne (vol. 69, 2025), a periodical published by the Polish Botanical Society, published scientific articles by a doctoral student of the Doctoral School of the University of Siedlce, in the field of history.

The journal NeoBiota (vol. 104, 2025), specializing in the biology and ecology of invasive organisms, published an article entitled “Functional trait interactions drive seed buoyancy and dispersal strategies in Echinocystis lobata.” The publication presents the results of research on the interactions of functional traits of the seeds of the invasive plant Echinocystis lobata and their impact on the buoyancy properties of seeds and the mechanisms of their dispersal in the environment. The analysis covers the relationship between seed characteristics and dispersal strategies, which is crucial for understanding the invasive success of this species and its impact on local ecosystems.

The journal Wiadomości Botaniczne (vol. 69, 2025), published by the Polish Botanical Society, has published an article entitled “New locations of vascular plants in Poland, 6,” co-authored by numerous researchers from Polish scientific centers. The publication presents the latest data on new locations of 25 rare or locally rare vascular plant species in Poland. The authors document the expansion of the range and new discoveries of populations of species of significant conservation importance, while pointing to their geographical distribution and potential implications for biodiversity conservation.

The article was written as part of a broad collaboration and includes field data collected by a research team involving specialists in the taxonomy and phytogeography of vascular plants.
