Marta Czerwieniec-Ivasyk, MA, a doctoral student at the University of Siedlce Doctoral School in the field of history, took part in the conference entitled Railway Aesthetics: Experiencing Locomotion across Media and Culture,
which took place on September 10-13, 2025, on two trains traveling from Vienna to Bucharest to Istanbul. Together with Kyunney Takasaeva from the University of Warsaw, she presented a paper based on a published article entitled Carceral Mobility to Siberia, Social Change, and Mechanised Transport in Wacław Sieroszewski's writings.
It is worth noting that Marta Czerwieniec-Ivasyk, MA, is the only Polish woman participating in the conference.
