On January 13, 2024, doctoral students in biological sciences Pawel Ciesluk, M.Sc. and Przemysław Obłoza, M.Sc. participated in the nationwide Winter Waterbird Monitoring campaign.
Monitoring of Wintering Waterbirds (International Waterbird Census) has been carried out in Europe since the mid-1960s. In Poland, the action has been included in the system of the State Environmental Monitoring (https://monitoringptakow.gios.gov.pl/srodladzie.html). The monitoring collects data from the most important parts of Polish rivers and reservoirs.
