Within the framework of cooperation with the social environment, Adam Matyszczak (M.Sc.) a doctoral student of the Siedlce University Doctoral School, took part in the General Meeting of the Polish Maize Producers Association (PZPK).

The meeting was held online on 21 March 2023. At the meeting, a report was presented on the activities of the Association in 2022, including the programme to promote the cultivation and use of maize for food purposes, "Golden taste of maize". The lecture "Results of the two-year survey conducted as part of the implementation of the Union's SeedsEU 2021 programme" was presented. The programme of activities for 2023 was also discussed, including the new promotion programme "Maize Inspirations" a maize dish competition for catering school students. The association implements projects with its own, national and EU funds. The Polish Maize Producers Association is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, during which time it has established cooperation with the Poznań University of Life Sciences, the Plant Breeding and Acclimatisation Institute- National Research Institute in Radzików, the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation- State Research Institute in Puławy, the Research Centre for Cultivar Testing (COBORU) in Słupia Wielka, the Plant Health and Seed Inspection Sevice, the National Support Centre for. Agriculture (KOWR), the French Federation of Maize and Sorghum Seed Producers (Fédération Nationale de la Production des Semences de Maïs et de Sorgho) and the Arvalis Institute (ARVALIS, Institut Technique Agricole), as well as European trade associations.
